Children and Youth Services
The primary goal of Clarion County CYS is keeping children safe and keeping them in their home. If a situation worsens and the child(ren) are placed into a foster home for their own safety, the goal changes to reunification with the family. With that, families are provided with services at no charge to adjust or correct what caused the separation. If goals cannot or have not been met by a certain time frame, the court system can make a recommendation for permanency of a new home for those in foster care.
Clarion County CYS contracts with multiple in home service providers.
CYS has a caseworker on-call 24/7 which can be contacted through 9-1-1.
If child abuse is suspected, people are encouraged to report information to ChildLine at 1 (800) 932-0313.
